BLUE WAVE® WATER BALANCE CHEMICALS
The first, most important step to proper pool care is to keep your pool water in balance. This will ensure that you are getting the most effective use of your chemicals. Test daily to ensure that pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid (stabilizer) are within the correct levels.

pH INCREASER
Use as needed to raise the pH level to the ideal range of 7.2 to 7.6 ppm. Slows the rapid loss of chlorine caused by low pH, and slows chlorine dissipation, so your pool uses less chlorine. Stops eye irritation, etching and corrosion caused by low pH. Contains sodium carbonate “soda ash”.
Recommended dosage: 1 lb. per 10,000 gallons.
ALKALINITY INCREASER
Use as needed to raise total alkalinity levels to the safe (non-corrosive) zone. Stops eye irritation, equipment corrosion, and plater etching caused by low alkalinity. Stabilizes pH balance in pool water and eliminates the demand for unusually large amounts of pH adjusters. Enables chlorine to work more effectively.
Recommended Dosage: Use 1-1/2 lbs. of Alkalinity Increaser to raise the alkalinity approximately 10 ppm.
pH REDUCER
THE SAFER ALTERNATIVE TO MURIATIC ACID!
Use as needed to lower pH to ideal range of 7.2 to 7.6 ppm. Stops eye irritation, cloudy water, and scaling caused by high pH. Boosts chlorine’s ability to fight bacteria and algae. Contains granular sodium bisulfate.
Recommended dosage: 6 oz. per 10,000 gallons.
HARDNESS INCREASER
Use as needed to raise the hardness (calcium) level in your pool to the ideal range. Prevents water from becoming corrosive and damaging your pool’s plumbing and heater.
Stops staining and etching of pool surfaces caused by low hardness levels. Great for use in areas where soft water is a problem.
Recommended dosage: 5 lbs. per 10,000 gallons to raise the hardness approximately 40 ppm.
STABILIZER
CUTS CHLORINE CONSUMPTION BY UP TO 25%!
Stabilizer pre-conditions your pool water to make chlorine last longer. Use at the beginning of each season to protect chlorine from the sun’s damaging effects and increase its effectiveness. Cyanuric Acid.
Dosage: 1-2/3 lbs. per 10,000 gallons.
